you say this dua in the last (tashahud) after (assalawat) and before (assalam) and originly this is its place .
Imam Ahmad stated that if you sit with the Imam in his last tashahud you say altashahud and salawat but he didn't mention that you say this dua.
and as far as I know there is no decissive daleel in this matter and allah knows best.
