A Series of Benefits from Sharh Kitaab at-Tawheed, Sh. Maaher al-Qahtaanee

In the Name of Allah, the Extremely Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

«And I did not create the Jinn and Mankind except to worship Me.» [Soorah adh-Dhariyaat (51):56]

Shaykh Maaher al-Qahtaanee, may Allah preserve him, comments:

al-`Ibaadah (Worship) is a comprehensive word, which encompasses all that Allah loves and is pleased with, of both actions and statements.

The verse contains the following:

1.
Proof of tawheed al-uloohiyyah (to single out Allah with all worship): «Except to worship Me.»

2. Proof that jinn exist.

3. The greatest of what Allah has commanded His servants with is at-tawheed.
