افتراضي What's better for a woman

Is it more rewarding for a woman who lives in Makkah to pray in her house or in Masjid Al Haram
If a woman is staying in a hotel in Makkah, is it better for her to pray in the hotel or in Masjid Al Haram

Translation of Shaykh Maher's answer

Shaykh Maher’s answer (click above for Arabic text)

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. Narrated Abu Dawood in his Sunan, narrated by Abdullah, that the Prophet (Salallahu alayhi wa salaam)) said:

"A woman’s prayer in her house is better than her prayer in her courtyard, and her prayer in her bedroom is better than her prayer in her house”[1]

So this text is general, and includes the Haram and other than the Haram. The first people addressed with this were the people of Madinah, and prayer in the Prophet’s Masjid is equal to a thousand prayers.
Nevertheless, the Prophet did not make an exception for any masjid (concerning the prayer of the woman).

This is applicable while in residence and while travelling. So the woman’s prayer in the hotel is better than her prayer in Masjid Al Haram because it is considered her home while she is travelling

The Messenger did not specify that this hadith is only applicable to the one who is resident .
.

." Narrated by Abu Dawood (570) and al-Tirmidhi (1173); classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb (1/136).
